So let’s try for a Monday and Friday update schedule Lies! Just Mondays!

So here’s some official Word of God stuff. Smic was never dead. Smic was just knocked unconscious by the explosion but, because he didn’t get back up and was in the centre of a massively huge explosion the other characters thought he was dead. Do you know many people who can survive an explosion the size of a house? I know I don’t.

The médicine-automisé is actually the scariest thing I could have designed as a robotic doctor I think as it looks essentially like a big old skull. Using a french term for the auto-doc is I think something Smic would do, like in the Georgian period a lot of science was from France and terms would be in french. We still use symbols Q and I for charge and Current thanks to those frenchies. I think also his initial hostility towards it is quite sane. I know I wouldn’t trust a robotic doctor I hadn’t built.

And Hannah gets to do stuff. She doesn’t get to do much er… ever. Sadly (something I want to fix). She does seem to be taking good control for once, I think that Smic is such a massively dominant personality he rather overpowers her own spirit. She’s fun to draw.

I almost comitted a cardinal sin in the final panel and cross the word balloons. It took a lot of playing around to get it to work right. I refused to change the staging on account of the wonderful (and cliche) image of them walking into the sunset. It is a nice ending to the whole series.

You know, I was just about to ask where Hannah went. She needs to get her own story arc, or perhaps some expounding on what she’s up to when not on panel. As for Smic, not only is the dandy man indestructible, but his hat is as well. That’s some quality engineering in that hat. Also, are his medic-bots more or less terrifying than Hannah’s?

Now I hate to ruin what would be a pretty sweet moment for the two of them, but their sunset in the last panel is looking a bit …green. Other than that, this is a really nice way to wind down after this arc.

@waiforpie Daltonism strikes again! Curse you, green! I can’t see you!

I think Smic has reason for never willingly removing his hat beyond mere vanity… and I am not sure about Smic’s Medecine-Automise, they may be more terrifying or they may be far more utilitarian… I am imagining a big steam engine boiler with hundreds of arms springing out…

Awww he’s like the trooping hero, with Hannah to make sure he doesn’t get too full of himself.

Smic’s hat must be like the old-fashioned riding bowlers my mum used to wear – armour-plated. And yes, I’m afraid the sunset is a bit green!

Well, the universe’s creator recently awoke and messed with it. A slightly shifted sunset colour is the least of the problems that could happen,
