Thanks to me having the lamest super power ever I coloured in a tree trunk green. Sorry about that.
So, I hope you all remember Lorraine from way back when. It’s now about 30 comics later, and I am picking this theme back up.
Time in Jayden and Crusader is a fickle thing. I would say that Jayden and Crusader takes place in real time, unless they specifically follow on from each other. For example, our heroes once spent about three months during what was apparently one day (coffee shop scene –>101st page. There was therefore a three month or so gap between page 101 and 102. Why am I telling you this? because I need you to understand that Third and Lorraine have been going out for some time. About 10 months, actually.
You might have noticed that Lorraine looks a little different this outing that last, but that is because consistancy is for chumps. Even Matt Groening said that.
I think.
Anyway… the Third/Lorraine relationship will run it’s course over the next 3 weeks or so, ending in a very satisfying way for me. Others may not like it. I don’t know. Also: To whomever I promised there would be more Third comics, I forgot quite who it was last month, I have delivered. This one, and three of the next four, have Third taking an important roll.
In other news, my PC and I are getting on badly. Our relationship, that and my PCs was much like a married couple. For a few months it was utter bliss, and then it was just contentedness and for almost a year and a half now it’s been annoyance and for the last week it and I have been utter enemies. It’s changed, I’ve changed, I expect it to do new and exciting things it doesn’t understand. It and I are not on good terms. I wonder if buying a laptop counts as divorce or an affair…
Sorry, Just wanted to rant about my PC for a while.
I dislike the backgrounds on this page. They’re lackluster and rather rubbish. Sorry about that. Hopefully you’re distracted by the dialog and characters.
Also: This is the first time Third had worn something other than his standard costume ever.
Which means that Kat is the only major character yet to change their clothing at least once, I’ll have to remember that for the next comic…

I recall you promising me Third strips a while ago… If that’s what you mean, then woo!
Third is happy? Why do I see this ending in an anomaly devouring the universe? Or, y’know, Third becoming an actual, multi-dimensional character and the relationship ending because it has done what is what meant to.
I’m not a very reliable prophet, am I?

I do actually have an anomaly devouring the universe planned… how you knew about it I cannot say. That said, it has nothing to do with Third and Lorraine.

You ALWAYS seem to have an anomaly devouring the universe planned, I think it was just an educated guess as to when and where. Also Who.

I always seem to be able to predict universe-devouring anomalies. Or any other apocalyptic-level events. That’s why I didn’t worry about Y2K and I’m not concerned about the 2012 apocalypse.

I realize this comic was made in July, but I just wanted to say that “noodle arms” made me laugh out loud. This is one of your better strips in my opinion.
