Return of the Psychiatrist
I am on holiday next week but there will still be an update
I feel obliged to mention that my friend is also now doing a webcomic. It can be found here.
Slightly weak update this week, sorry about that.
Actually, I’m just going to elaborate on that for a little while. Jayden and Crusader updates once a week because I don’t usually get more time than that. But it means whenever a weak comic comes up, or a glut of them, it really turns readers off. I am sorry for that. I have a couple of very funny jokes that can be put in later, but I need to get some mundanities out of the way first, which leads to weaker comics. If I were updating twice or thrice a weak there’d be no problem, it’d just be a bad week and we’d move on, but once a week means it can really drag sometimes.
I’ve also not been feeling the J&C vibe. Everynow and then I might get an idea, but if I try and write something on cue, nothing comes. Ideas for my works tend to go in waves. I get ideas for J&C, then for my Novel, then for my other comic project, and then back to J&C again. Right now we’re out of a J&C phase, which means that I don’t have a lot of material to work with if I want to tweak an older idea or script. It’s like the funny just… escaped.
I’m kinda beating myself, I dunno, you might have loved this page. But me? I am not feeling it.
I like Dr. Cartwright, mainly because she’s almost as nuts as her patients. Her office is littered with crazy signs, including a couple on other walls I haven’t put in the comic yet that say things like “Maybe it is your fault” and “No wonder your mother never loved you”. I changed her design, as you can see, and I really, really, really, like it now.
And it made a joke.
Yayz.
See you next week. Well, I won’t. But there will be an update.

Is Third British? ‘Cause if not, “jail” is spelled wrong.

Third is described as “An American, but not by choice.” I think he would spell gaol the old fashioned away, I think he would reject most Webster spellings in favour of OED spellings

I like that you’ve given Jayden a different outfit, it’s nice when fictional characters (and real people) don’t wear the exact same thing every single day, although doing a different outfit for every other comic or so (such as in QC) is a little unnecessary I think.
The Dr Cartwright thing was very clever, if it were my comic I couldn’t have thought of a good way of changing an existing character and having a realistic (sort of) explanation. I much prefer her new design too. Not 100% sure why, but I like her hair so it might just be because we’ve seen few blonde characters in J&C, I dunno.
And congratulations, I’m now looking up Zeno’s paradoxes.

Nice lampshade hanging on changing the doc’s design. I don’t know precisely what it is about her pose and expression in the last frame, but it’s very Questionable Content (which is not of course a bad thing).
