Like Mother Like Daughter
Today’s page took way way longer than usual. Two new characters and one new background, it took a while.
Sorry its late, I was working on a different J&C page yesterday, and then I got distracted by Halo 3. So… yeah, its a bit late, but its still monday!
Also there’ll be a new votey image in about half an hour if you stick around.
New Vote Incentive up. It’s romance involving Smic and Hannah.
So these are Jayden’s parents. The style I draw in is hard to make people look old without making them look very old and I seem to have given them both jumpers to try and make them look older. This was a mistake I think, but who knows.
Jayden gets a lot of her physical atrributes, hieght, build etc, from her father but I think her personality is closer to her mother’s. In fact I had to work quite hard in panel 5 to stop it looking like Jayden. That said, they do have similar hair.
Now back to the grind.

As you said to me earlier, Jayden’s dad does look a little like Third, but only if you’re looking for it. Jayden’s mum’s good, her looks suit her personality, or what I can tell of it so far (sceptical and a bit bitter?). She looks a little off in the fifth panel though, she looks like she’s about to fall over backwards. The jumpers work well in making them seem older too, I think they just about look believably old without looking like Jayden’s grandparents.
Overall though it’s good, Crusader’s looking good again (except perhaps a slightly dodgy hand in the first panel).
